Land Management and Development
Since its foundation, CMU has been comprehensively involved in land management and development processes: from land acquisition, through its processing, planning and urbanisation, to its transformation into urban land.
It has also carried out significant development activity, having delivered more than 5,000 homes and built emblematic buildings such as the CHA (Naval Orphans' School) at Arturo Soria 285, built in 1913, and residential buildings such as those at Alfonso XII on the corner of Juan de Mena, or the one at Alcalá 139.
Throughout its history, CMU has been committed to urban sustainability and environmental quality; proof of this was the establishment of the former Tree Festival, held annually, at which thousands of trees were planted along Arturo Soria street, helping to improve and protect the landscape.
CMU currently has urban land available for the construction of housing, offices, commercial premises and parking spaces in Madrid, in the areas of: Pueblo Nuevo, García Noblejas, San Blas Canillejas, Vallecas, San Juan Bautista and the Castellana extension.
